Engagement session at Deering Estate!

What a beautiful day. Blue skies and nice breeze. Melissa & Leo are getting married in less than a month. They own a pet grooming shop near Brickell, I love the name, logo and color scheme, its called City-Pooch.com . With their busy schedules we scheduled their shoot today and boy was it a beautiful day. Melissa brought her parents along to enjoy the scenery, they were soooo funny and super nice. I'm glad her parents were able to meet me before. I can't wait till we shoot their wedding in September. It was hard to get Leo to get comfortable. I don't blame him, I am super shy when on the other end of the camera. But he was a trooper and pulled through with tons of joking along the way. Grace & Patrick... Engagement session gone URBAN

You will probably remember Grace & Patrick from the engagement session contest. They won by an overwhelming amount of votes... They are so cute, so expressive, and vibrant. They dressed the part, their shoot was downtown(Brickell), they both wore brown and as you'll see in my favorite images below it was such a cute and unique combination that allowed all the color around them to pop. When you drive down Brickell towards downtown, you just see greys a lot of grey but we were so pleasently surprised to find COLOR in the most unexpected places. So this post is a tribute to color. Nothing was muted. This shoot was also captured on and HD video camera, Javier, the purpose of this shoot was to show everyone what its like on an engagement session with me, what the surroundings look like and how I see it though my lens. So this post will only have a few images. The bulk of the images will be shown off in an amazing online demo/commercial that will be coming real soon.

What a cute couple, they had such a cute idea to just go anywhere, they wanted greenery.

ALessandra was just full of emotion. I think her expressions in this recap speak for themselves. She was trully happy on her special day. I am so glad they chose us to capture their wedding.

Happy Birthday Gustavo-Alexis, what a milestone 5 years old. Gustavo-Alexis has a very special story, please click here to read more on their family journal page.
I was called and given the opportunity to shoot Gustavo-Alexis' 5th Birthday party. He had so much fun. He especially loved all the animals at the mini petting zoo.
He loves everyone, no one got by without a hug from Gustavo-Alexis.
His Mom & Dad love him so much. I was so blessed and touched to have been included in their day. Javier (videographer/husband) also shot video. We shot along 5 other amazing photographers and 2 other great videographers. The friends and family that coordinated this for Gustavo-Alexis did not want a moment to be missed. And it wasn't.
Please keep them in your thoughts. They are such kind and loving people.

Meet Mathew!

I want everyone to meet mathew. He was just soooo cute. I loved his chubby cheeks. He is so smart and I love the way he pronounces all his words. Too sweet. We had a great time. It was hot but it could have been worse I guess.
He is so vibrant. Barbie(MOM) is expecting a baby next march, I think they are going to just be the cutest family. Mom(Barbie) and Dad (Eric) are just so full of energy. Mathew loved "el parque"Please email me if I spelled it wrong.

Wow Wow Orange!!!

I love orange... well at least now I do. This family looked so perfect. I loved their attire, brought a lot of pop to the shoot. Here is NICOLAS!
He's adorable, and I think he pooped Dad out today at our shoot. It was HOT HOT HOT! But we managed to get some great shots of this cute kid. Mom & Dad were the perfect cheerleaders :)

Presenting Alyssa Sofia

I had such a wonderful time with Grisel, Eddie & Alyssa. Thier shoot really was a success because of their attention to detail and the ideas they both had for the shoot. They have an amazing home. beautifully decorated. Of course it also helped that all 3 of them are super photogenic. This is just a few from our shoot today. Grisel "Mom" had such great ideas. She opened up the french doors and we put Alyssa on the "nest" I brought after Eddie "Dad"swaddled baby Alyssa tightly.By the way we were finally able to recreate my famous (heee heee hee, famous, yeah right, I wish) "hanging baby shoot" after a year and a half, I'm happy to have been able to redo it.
