The decision was hard so I left the decision up to my visitors. And you voted.

BUT WAIT!!! no one will go home a looser at lease not the partisipants in my contests.
Each one of the couples will get a $100 gift certificate good towards their very own private engagement shoot in the location of their choice here in miami-dade county. I will also provide a free online slideshow for them to share with friends & family.

Thank you for your post. I enjoy having all opinions posted on my blog. The fact that the contestant is a photographer as you say makes me that much more honored that I was chosen. This contest was open to anyone for a week and the contestants on my blog are the ones that entered.Funny though that there are 2 contestants that directly received my email and have met me and 2 that never have. The photographer contestant in question had actually never met me. I had an unlimited # of entries available but only received 4. A lot of people felt to shy to participate in what I was asking and asked to book their own engagement shoot to their own location and with no video camera. I like the fact that so many people have come to visit my blog and would encourage you guys to check back periodicallly, I am taking this entire experience and adding more specials and contests to my blog.
I would hope that my photography would inspire you while you are here and encourage you to check out my other posts and slideshows. Please leave comments, I post all, as long as they are not offensive to my visitors. Thank you again for your posts and support. I would love to hear more on what everyone thinks in general about my photography not just the voting. :)
I am a bride just like the rest of you. I learned about Melissa's work because Erika showed off the pictures she did of her wedding to a few boards on the knot. When Erika mentioned this contest I jumped in because just like you all I am a bride that is trying to save money and get pictures with a good photographer.
I don't see the relevance of me being an amateur photographer in this contest especially since I have not accepted money from anyone I have shot.
Melissa is a great photographer. Anyone should feel fortunate to have her as a photographer. This contest is providing Melissa some great exposure and should remain the positive opportunity it was designed to be.
The photographer and the bride responded very well. Furthermore, if being a photographer disqualified a contestant, then there should be a reward for idiots posting ludicrous comments.
Seriously, if Kia's AMATEUR photographer status gives her any sort of "unfair" advantage, would there even be a contest?! She has just as equal a chance as any of the other contestants!

Contests like this might not be more than a popularity contest, but as shown by your votes and the comments on your page, you are so popular because you are so well loved. May you both have a great shoot, a gorgeous wedding, and an immeasurably happy life together!
